What is Hypnosis?

 

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxed, focused awareness wherein the subconscious mind is able to come to the forefront in a capacity that we can rarely access on our own. This is sometimes referred to as a trance state.

It is helpful to note that the Hypnotic state is synonymous with the Meditative State.

 

We all experience a hypnogogic state everyday when we are between waking and dreaming. You've likely also felt light trance states while driving or walking a familiar route wherein you feel as though your conscious mind is on "auto-pilot" while your subconscious mind is able to process and work out deeper feelings.

 

Another example is while witnessing art, dance, music, film and feeling entire consumed but simultaneously aware of your own inspired imagination working in a Flow State.  

 

Because we all possess a subconscious mind we can all benefit by guided help inward. Even if you have had difficulty meditating alone, Andrea is trained to help you into the this potent state.

This is a unique approach because we are accessing subconscious problems at the subconscious level. This is different than talk therapy or psychotherapy that uses the conscious mind.

 

An added benefit of this work is building coherence between the left brain which is logical, negotiating, labelling and separating versus the right brain which is the creative, meta-understanding, dreaming hemisphere.
